Photos

61.3 GB

Largest first

Tap a video to make it HD.

What it does

  1. Everything, measured.

Every photo and video on your iPhone and in iCloud, ranked largest first. The top of the list is where your gigabytes went.

  2. 4K to HD. Same video.

A 4K 60 fps video becomes HD at the same 60 fps. Same length, same date, place and albums, a fraction of the size. You see how much comes back before you say yes.

    2.4 GB becomes 520 MB

  3. Or delete. Your call.

Open it, look, decide, or select a few at once. Nothing goes until you confirm, and it lands in Recently Deleted first, like always.

  • Not $4.99 a week
  • Not $29.99 a year
  • Not Free trial, then we'll see
  • Free. Then $4.99, once, if you want.

Measuring, ranking and deleting are free. So are the first two videos you convert to HD. If you want to keep converting, it's $4.99, once, through the App Store. Nothing renews. Nothing to cancel.

Fair questions

Does it delete anything on its own?

No. Unclog never deletes, converts or changes anything until you tap it, and iOS asks you to confirm. Deleted items go to Recently Deleted and stay there for 30 days unless you empty it.

Why does it ask for all my photos?

To measure them. It can only tell you what's largest if it can see the whole library. Measuring happens on your iPhone, and nothing is uploaded.

I deleted a lot. Why isn't the space back yet?

Two reasons, both Apple's. Deleted photos sit in Recently Deleted for 30 days, still taking space on your iPhone, until you empty that album; Unclog opens Photos so you can. And iCloud updates its numbers on its own schedule. Unclog shows you what you'll get back. iOS decides when.

What changes when a video goes from 4K to HD?

Only the resolution. A 4K 60 fps video becomes HD 60 fps: same frame rate, same length, same date, place and albums, and HDR stays HDR. On a phone screen, it's hard to tell apart. The file is a fraction of the size.

Is it really $4.99, once?

Yes. One payment through the App Store, and converting is yours for good, on your other iPhones and your family's too. There is no subscription to cancel, because there is no subscription.
